Many Christians assume joy is fragile, rare, or mostly tied to circumstances. Peter says otherwise: the same glory that blazed on the mountain now rises in the heart as the Morning Star. Why does seeing Christ’s present‑tense radiance reshape how weary pilgrims experience Scripture, joy, and satisfaction today?
Peter watched Jesus blaze with glory on the mountain — and still walked away unchanged. Years later, describing that moment, he skipped the sun and the moon for something else entirely. Why the morning star? And how does understanding it keep us from staying unchanged when our own Bible blazes with His glory?
Matthew and Luke both tell us Jesus’ face shone like the sun on the mountain. Mark says nothing about it. What he does mention is oddly specific — no fuller on earth could wash clothes that white. Why would Mark care more about laundry than light?
